Is Owning A Home Business Right For You?

Owning a business can be either a dream come true, or not. Your burning desire (or lack of one), your mindset, your business community, and your chosen business model make all the difference. Take your time, and trust your gut when looking for the right home business. Thoroughly examine at least 3 different companies before jumping in. They are not all the same, pay attention!

A bit like raising a child, there are ups and downs but it is worth it. Owning a business is a responsibility. It takes vision, and persistence. Owning your own home business allows you to spend more quality time with your family, earn a large income regardless of your background, and live a spontaneous, portable lifestyle. Thousands of people worldwide own successful home businesses. Forbes Magazine has predicted that within the next 3-5 years 79 Million people in the US alone will become a customer to a home business!

But is this right for you?

Know what you are getting into:

Owning a home business has the potential to make you a millionaire. It is happening everyday to thousands of average people. But imagine hoping to be a successful doctor without going to medical school. You wouldn't think of it. Same thing with a business. I suggest that you enroll in a proven training program led by millionaires in the home business industry. Men and women who come with a passionate knowledge in the areas of mindset, marketing, effective communication, and team building. Training should of course be ongoing throughout your career, but spend the first 8 weeks immersed in good training before expecting big results. (you may see results sooner, but focus on learning first, it only makes sense)

The Good news and Bad news:

You will have no one standing over you telling you what to do. If you want to live life on your own terms then owning a business may be for you. If you want someone else to tell you how to work, owning a business may not be for you. Secondly, you will not have a regular paycheck , but also no cap on your financial potential. Any business has start up and operating costs, but again the rewards have no limit. Think big, most of those successful in business are big thinkers, if you think small (and plan to stay that way) a business may be more work for you than it is worth.

Take a good look at each business model. Not all home businesses are the same:

The majority are Multi-level-Marketing (MLM), which is traditionally created to bring the majority of profits to the company and those at the top levels. MLM is best for those only wanting to invest a little to receive a little in return. Realistically most MLM'ers bring in only an extra few hundred dollars a month.

Direct Sales is another home business model. This system is created for the small business owner to pocket the majority of the profits. This business model is for those willing to invest a little more, and who are serious about creating a significant multiple 6-7 figure income in a relatively short amount of time.

There are also hybrid compensation plans available, do your research to receive the best return on investment (ROI)

Be clear on what YOU want before you choose a home business.

Some questions for you to ponder:

1) Who are you? What are your strengths & weaknesses?

- Get really clear on who you are, the REAL you

2) What is Your Passion?

- What would you do if you already had all the money in the world?

- What do you naturally share with others?

3) What is Fun for you?

- How do you spend your leisure time?

Your Ideal Home Business should match your passions, your income goal, and most importantly be in alignment with who you are!

Happy Business Hunting!,

Should I Trust Life or Not?

Resisting life is resisting what you really want. So how do you know when you are resisting what you really want? You already know the answer to this question.....

You know when you're allowing what you want because you feel completely at ease. When you are not at ease, resistance is present. You are either moving towards one of two things. What you think will bring you happiness, or true happiness. Happiness is Life itself. So we ask ourselves are we flowing with life or against it?

Lets take a look at what happens when we chase after what we think will bring us happiness:

1) You are often nervous and anxious because life won’t cooperate with your plans
2) You're willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to get what you want, to include your integrity
3) You're usually scheming in some way to win your next victory
4) You are in a battle or recovering from one
5) You are unable to rest quietly when you need to
6) You are easily angered when someone or something gets in your way
7) You are forever driven to want something "else"
8) You are certain that what you have is who you are
9) You are certain that how you feel and what you think is who you are
10) You're always trying to convince yourself that you got what you wanted even when you are not happy.

Now lets take a look at what happens when you want what life wants:

1) You are never disappointed with what happens
2) You are always in the right place at the right time
3) You are quietly confident, no matter what the circumstances
4) You are out of the reach of anger and anxiety
5) You are awake and sensitive to your surroundings
6) You are free of ever feeling as thought that you've missed out
7) You are never thrown by a loss
8) You are in total command of events
9) You are mentally quiet and happy
10) You are eternally grateful

(This is from an excerpt from the book "The Secret of Letting Go" by Guy Finley.)

Relax, LIFE which is a constant stream of well-being, is flowing to you and through you. What you really want is here now, welcome it in! There is nothing to be afraid of.

"The moment you stop looking outside of yourself for happiness, is your happiest moment!”
